Baler & Compactor Servicing Plans

It’s important to ensure your waste management equipment is maintained and the best way to do this is with a baler and compactor servicing plan. At Greenbank Waste Solutions we offer three levels of cover to suit your needs. We can also create a bespoke plan if required with the option of weekend cover. Both balers and compactors should undergo regular maintenance if they are to continue working to their full potential. Keen to find out more? Get in touch with our experts.

At Greenbank we operate in our own Alcumus SafeContractor Approved team of service engineers. Our dedicated and highly qualified team are on the road, continually working closely with our clients and their machinery.

Our engineering team and critical parts are strategically located throughout the UK to minimise both your downtime and our carbon footprint. We cover all areas of the UK with clients based in the North, South, East and West.

During a service, our qualified engineer will check all moving parts, hydraulics and electrics. We use a PDA reporting system, our engineer’s report can be emailed to you in preparation for your audits. Feel free to ask us more about how we can help you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why do I need to service my baler or compactor?

Baler and compactors are constantly in use, especially if your company produces high volumes of waste, so it’s only natural that they will experience some degree of wear and tear. Baler machine and compactor maintenance is a key factor if you wish to keep these machines in their optimal state and to avoid breakdowns which could bring your entire waste management operation to a standstill.

  • How often should I service my machine?

Preventative maintenance tasks should be undertaken on a daily basis by the operatives – there’s a daily maintenance checklist provided with the machine upon installation and we provide training to a member of your staff on how to complete these tasks.

It’s also recommended that you have a trained engineer visit a few times every year to perform regular inspections including a total health-check for both the electrical and hydraulic components, and to re-grease the machine and fill up the oil levels.
