Frequently Asked Questions
There are numerous recyclers who are always looking for baled cardboard and plastic to take off people’s hands. We can put you in contact with recyclers who are local to your business and more than happy to collect or purchase your bales.
The Bramidan B4 baler is suitable for cardboard, plastic foil and paper waste. You can use it to bale all three types of materials, just not at the same time – this is because waste contamination must be avoided, otherwise recyclers may refuse to purchase your bales and instead you will have no other option than to send the waste to landfill. Therefore, we recommend that you sort your waste and make separate bales.
The Bramidan B4 vertical baler is a compact machine with a small footprint and low height, making it perfect for retail businesses or one’s with less space in their warehouse/facility. The B4 baler produces bales sized between 40 kg and 60 kg depending on the type of material, and boasts a 28 second average cycle time meaning that it’s capable of handling even the busiest of environments.
Baler maintenance is key if you want your machine running smoothly all year round. During the machine installation, we go through a quick product training with you to ensure that you understand how to use and maintain this specific baler. The baler also comes with a manual that walks you through a daily maintenance checklist. We’d also recommend considering a baler servicing plan which offers regular preventative maintenance visits, during which our qualified engineers will check the machine out, apply grease where needed and fill the machines up with oil, as well as provide you with a certificate of inspection which is often required for health and safety audits.

Great compaction, low profile
The B4 vertical baler offers great compaction levels by applying 4 tonnes of force onto the waste, whilst only producing 57-60 dB of noise (the same as an air conditioner) and taking up minimal space. This allows it to keep a low profile.
Safety first design
The B4 baler offers exceptional safety and complies with the latest EU safety standards. It features a magnetic door switch that turns the press plate off whenever the door is opened, no gaps or open slots are present on the baler and two buttons must be pressed simultaneously to eject the bale, thus ensuring that it cannot be done by accident.
